Design and Production: Investigating the Effects of Error with CAS
Mathematics in the “real world” can be frustrating. Small variations in input values can lead to large variations in results. While the mathematics for the relationship between these variations can be daunting for students, technology
can make these problems accessible. In this session we will have a design task and discuss possible errors that may arise in its production. We will use CAS and dynamic geometry to explore how these errors affect our final product.
