Link for All Files from February 17 Session
The files below are the individual activities from the February 17 session broken up with individual .tns files.
Activity Description | Word Document | .tns File |
A collection of functions to explore using the TI-Nspire CX II and the TI-Innovator Rover. The instructions for using the .tns file are on the accompanying handout. | Functions with Rover | rover_fns.tns |
An activity for introducing students to the importance of creating a linear model from collected data. The instructions for using the .tns file are on the accompanying handout. | Linear Model with Motion | LinearModel.tns |
An activity to allow student to figure out how to draw polynomials using a simple function with two parameters. Students should press Ctrl-R on page 1.1 after opening the .tns file. In the shell on page 1.2, students should execute the function p(n,theta) to try to draw the polygons on the accompanying handout. | Polygons with Rover | Polygons.tns |
An activity to help students discover the distance formula. The instructions for using the .tns file are on the accompanying handout. | Distance Between Points | Triangle.tns |
An activity to use the TI-Innovator Rover to study systems of linear equations. This activity has been left unscaffolded so teacher may decide the appropriate instructions to give to students. Open the file MeetInTheMiddle.tns and press ctrl-R on page 1.1. In the shell on page 1.2, students will use the two functions trey(t) and evan(t) to have the TI-Rover move at the appropriate speeds. | Meet in the Middle | MeetInTheMiddle.tns |
